Volvo ES90 launched in Malaysia, RM 340k – CKD, range up to 651 km

Volvo Malaysia launched the long-awaited locally assembled Volvo ES90, the first fully electric D-segment sedan from Volvo in Malaysia. The Volvo ES90 is priced at RM 339,888 on the road, excluding insurance, and is locally assembled in Shah Alam, Selangor. The newly launched Volvo ES90 is the fourth fully electric car in the lineup in Malaysia.

Although a sedan, the Volvo ES90 features a hatchback-style tailgate with a stretched wheelbase that gives it a coupe-style silhouette. The Volvo ES90 measures at 5,000 mm long, 1,942 mm wide, 1,550 mm tall, and a wheel base of 3,102 mm.

The new Volvo ES90 is built on an 800-volt electrical system architecture and features a single motor powering only the rear wheels. Equipped with a battery energy of 92 kWh, with battery charging duration taking 10 hours from 0 to 100% using 3-phase 16A, and DC 350kW charging taking 22 minutes from 10 to 80%.
