Tesla launches V4 supercharging station at the Gardens Mall, KL

Tesla continues to expand its charging network in Malaysia with the launch of the V4 Supercharging station at The Gardens Mall in Kuala Lumpur. This new station features four V4 Superchargers and one Destination Charger, catering to the needs of Tesla owners, particularly those living in high-rise condominiums who require fast and convenient charging while running errands at the mall.

Tesla’s V4 Superchargers come equipped with a longer charging cable, ensuring easy access for all Tesla models. These chargers support peak charging rates of up to 250kW per vehicle, allowing the Model 3 and Model Y to recharge up to 282 km of range in just 15 minutes. Additionally, the V4 Superchargers are future-proofed, meaning they can receive software updates to enable new features and further enhance the charging experience.

Tesla’s goal is to create a hassle-free and efficient charging ecosystem for its users. The Tesla Appallows owners to:

Check charger availability in real-time

Navigate to the nearest charging station

Monitor charging progress remotely

Make automatic payments via the app

This “Plug and Charge” experience eliminates the need for manual payments, making long-distance travel and daily charging routines more convenient than ever.

Tesla’s pay-per-use Supercharging model offers one of the most cost-efficient charging solutions in Malaysia, with a rate of RM 1.13 per kWh. Additionally, Tesla Destination Chargers remain free to use for Tesla owners until further notice. However, to ensure fair usage, an idle fee of up to RM 4.00 per minute applies when a Supercharging station is 100% occupied and a vehicle remains plugged in after charging is complete.

Tesla is rapidly growing its charging infrastructure in Malaysia, with:

14 Supercharging stations featuring 64 Superchargers

15 Destination Charging stations with 70 chargers

With ongoing expansion plans, Tesla is committed to providing wider coverage and better accessibility for EV owners across the country.

With the launch of the V4 Supercharging station at The Gardens Mall, Tesla is reinforcing its commitment to providing a seamless EV ownership experience in Malaysia. With an expanding charging network, competitive charging rates, and the arrival of the new Model Y, Tesla continues to make electric vehicle ownership more accessible and convenient for Malaysians.
