Hyundai Teases Kia Stinger-Based Hydrogen Sports Car In Latest Video

In a teaser video for their upcoming ‘Hydrogen Wave’ forum, Hyundai has teased a hydrogen sports car that seems to be based on the Kia Stinger.
Through the Hydrogen Wave forum, Hyundai Motor Group will showcase its future plans on hydrogen technology. The forum will take place online on 7 September followed by a physical exhibition in Goyang, South Korea from 8 September to 11 September.
The car being teased is most likely a hydrogen fuel cell car judging by the sound it makes in the video instead of a hydrogen combustion engine.
Hyundai Motor Group has also meddled with hydrogen fuel cell technology since the early 2000s in the first-generation Hyundai Tucson (test vehicle) and later mass-produced FCEV versions in the second-generation ix35 Hyundai Tucson.
In the teaser video, the roofline of the camouflaged car looks very similar to that of the Kia Stinger. The Kia Stinger is a sports saloon powered by either a 2.5-litre turbo 4-cylinder engine (304 PS/421 Nm) or a 3.3-litre turbo V6 engine (373 PS/509 Nm).
To know whether this will be a one-off concept or an actual production car, we shall wait for its reveal during the ‘Hydrogen Wave’ forum.
