Honda Prelude unveiled in Malaysia, set to launch in Q2 2026

The Honda Prelude was recently spotted in Malaysia at a Honda Raya Open House event held at Pavilion Arena. This two-door sports coupe was first debuted in Malaysia at KLIMS 2024. The Honda Prelude is available in three colours: Winter Frost Pearl, Crystal Black Pearl, and Rallye Red. The model displayed here is finished in Crystal Black Pearl.

The Honda Prelude is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder LFC-H4 engine paired with a two-motor hybrid system, mated to an e-CVT with a simulated 8-speed S+ Shift mode transmission that powers the front wheels. It produces a combined output of 203 PS and 314 Nm of torque, achieving 0–100 km/h in 8.2 seconds. The S+ Shift mode simulates stepped gears, allowing drivers to use paddle shifters behind the steering wheel to select gears while driving.

The Honda Prelude comes equipped with Honda SENSING, as well as the Blind Spot Information (BSI) system and Cross Traffic Monitor (CTM), among other features. As seen on the displayed model, there are no cameras on the side mirrors, which means it does not feature Honda LaneWatch.

Dimension-wise, the Honda Prelude measures 4,522 mm in length, 1,880 mm in width, and 1,355 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,605 mm. On the exterior, it features LED headlights and LED rear combination lights with red lenses, along with enhanced Active Cornering Lights that improve visibility during nighttime driving. Additional highlights include flush door handles, a black chrome grille, and subtle blue accents on the lower centre of the front and rear bumpers. It rides on 19-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 235/40 R19 Continental PremiumContact 6 tyres, paired with Brembo brakes featuring bright blue callipers.

There are no interior photos yet, as the displayed unit is fully locked and all windows are heavily tinted. However, judging by the direction of the front wipers, the displayed model is right-hand drive. The Honda Prelude is now open for booking in Malaysia and is expected to launch in Q2 2026, according to Honda Malaysia.
