Fr RM149k, Honda e:N1 EV launched in Malaysia – 204 PS and 310 Nm, 412 km WLTP range
The all-electric Honda e:N1 EV has officially gone on sale in Malaysia, priced at RM149,900. The Honda e:N1 arrives fully imported (CBU) from China and marks Honda Malaysia’s first battery electric vehicle (BEV).
Based on the e:N Architecture F platform and sharing its bodyshell with the HR-V, its front-mounted electric motor delivering 204 PS and 310 Nm of torque, allowing the e:N1 to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.7 seconds. Top speed is rated at 160 km/h.
Visually, the Honda e:N1 retains the HR-V’s familiar profile but introduces EV-specific styling cues. The front is completely grille-less and integrates the charging port, while the rear features Honda lettering instead of the usual badge. Completing the look are 18-inch two-tone alloy wheels designed specifically for this model.
Feeding the motor is a 68.8 kWh lithium-ion battery with nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) chemistry. It offers a WLTP-rated range of up to 412 km.
Charging performance is decent for the segment. The Honda e:N1 supports DC fast charging at up to 78 kW, with a 10–80% charge taking around 45 minutes. It also accepts 11 kW AC charging, which fully recharges the battery in about six hours.
Inside, the cabin is centred around a massive 15.1-inch portrait touchscreen that controls both infotainment and climate functions. Ahead of the driver is a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, while the traditional gear lever is replaced with push-button selectors.
Standard equipment for the Honda e:N1 in Malaysia includes:
- Full-LED headlights
- 18-inch two-tone alloy wheels
- Honda Sensing with adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist and more
- Blind spot monitor and rear cross traffic alert (replacing LaneWatch)
- Synthetic leather upholstery
- Dual-zone automatic air-conditioning
- Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
There are three colours for customers to choose from, which are Platinum White Pearl, Aqua Topaz Metallic and Urban Gray Pearl.
The high voltage battery and electric drive system are covered by an 8-year/160,000 km warranty. Deliveries for the Honda e:N1 are set to begin next month in June. The e:N1 can now be viewed at eight selected Honda Malaysia showrooms nationwide.
