2026 Jetour T2 i-DM launched, RM163k – PHEV variant, 1.5L turbo, 1,200 km range

Jetour Malaysia has launched the 2026 Jetour T2 i-DM, a plug-in hybrid variant priced at RM 162,800. Now featuring a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine paired with an electric motor, the front-wheel-drive model retains its boxy exterior design while offering modern creature comforts.

The PHEV variant retains largely the same dimensions as the pure petrol counterpart, albeit being 5 mm shorter, measuring 4,785 mm long, 2,006 mm wide and 1,875 mm tall. Despite its tough off-road appearance, the Jetour T2 i-DM uses a unibody construction rather than a body-on-frame chassis.

At the front, the Jetour T2 i-DM features square headlights and a large grille complete with bold Jetour lettering. An upright glasshouse further accentuates its boxy design. At the rear, it features a side-opening tailgate and a large storage box that resembles an external spare tyre.

Additional changes made for the PHEV variant include 20-inch ‘Trailblazer’ alloy wheels and door mirrors that automatically angle downward when reversing. It also loses the all-terrain tyres, instead being equipped with road-oriented tyres.

Under the bonnet sits a 1.5-litre four-cylinder Dedicated Hybrid Engine (DHE), producing a maximum of 136 PS and 220 Nm of torque. An electric motor adds 224 PS and 390 Nm of torque. The combined power output is rated at 360 PS and 610 Nm of torque, with power sent exclusively to the front wheels. The transmission is a three-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT).

Being a PHEV, it comes with an 18.4 kWh battery pack and supports DC fast charging at up to 57 kW. Using DC fast charging, the battery can be charged from 30% to 80% in just 27 minutes. AC charging, meanwhile, is supported at up to 6.6 kW, taking three hours to charge from 30% to 100%. It also features a 3.3 kW Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) function. According to Jetour, the T2 i-DM offers a total driving range of up to 1,200 km, while its pure electric range is rated at up to 10 km.

Inside, the Jetour T2 i-DM features a practical cabin with plenty of grab handles to make getting in and out of the vehicle easier. The dashboard features a straight, rugged design, with a floating touchscreen head unit positioned in the centre. The centre air vents and climate control switches are positioned below the display. The front seats are power-adjustable with memory functions and are wrapped in leatherette upholstery with red stitching.
