2025 Mitsubishi XForce HEV launched in Thailand – from RM118k
Mitsubishi Motors has officially introduced the Mitsubishi Xforce HEV in Thailand, expanding its hybrid line-up with a B-segment SUV that first made its global debut in Indonesia in 2023. The Xforce HEV is set to make its public premiere at the upcoming Bangkok International Motor Show later this month.
The Xforce HEV follows the success of the Xpander and Xpander Cross HEV models, which were launched in Thailand last year. All three models share the e:Motion powertrain, an advanced hybrid system similar to Honda’s e:HEV technology. Primarily powered by an electric motor, the internal combustion engine (ICE) acts mainly as a generator, providing electricity. At higher speeds, the engine can engage directly to assist the electric motor, enhancing efficiency.

Under the hood, the Xforce HEV houses an electric motor producing 116 PS and 255 Nm of torque. This is powered by a lithium-ion battery paired with a 1.6-litre 4A92 MIVEC naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine, generating 95 PS at 5,100 rpm and 134 Nm at 4,500 rpm.
Mitsubishi claims that the Xforce HEV’s hybrid system is an evolution of the one found in the Xpander HEV. Significant upgrades include a new two-speed transaxle for improved transmission efficiency and a motor disconnect function that disengages the motor from the drive shaft at high speeds. These enhancements reduce energy loss, resulting in an impressive fuel economy of approximately 24.4 km per litre.

From the outside, the Xforce HEV closely resembles its ICE counterpart, retaining the bold “Dynamic Shield” front fascia. However, the hybrid model features exclusive Xforce lettering on the front bonnet, a new chrome-finished grille design, and subtle accents on the lower bumper. It also sports redesigned 18-inch two-tone alloy wheels, blue-accented HEV and Hybrid EV badges, and a slightly lower ground clearance of 183 mm compared to the 222 mm on the standard petrol version.
Inside, the Xforce HEV maintains the “Horizontal Axis” dashboard layout from the standard model, equipped with a 12.3-inch Smartphone-link Display Audio screen and an 8.0-inch digital driver display. The interior also features an eight-speaker Dynamic Sound Yamaha Premium system, co-developed with Yamaha, alongside wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
Mitsubishi’s Active Yaw Control (AYC) remains, distributing power between the front wheels for improved handling. Notably, the Xforce HEV offers seven driving modes—normal, wet, gravel, mud, EV Priority, Charge, and tarmac—providing versatility across different driving conditions.

Safety is a priority, with six airbags and Mitsubishi’s Safety Sensing suite, including autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beam, Lead Car Departure Notification, Blind Spot Warning with Lane Change Assist, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.
The Mitsubishi Xforce HEV is offered in three variants in Thailand:
• Xforce HEV Ignite – Priced at 899,000 baht (RM118,400)
• Xforce HEV Ultimate – Priced at 1.039 million baht (RM136,800)
• Xforce HEV Ultimate X – Priced at 1.089 million baht (RM143,500)
Customers can choose from eight exterior colour options, including four two-tone combinations and four monotone shades, ensuring a variety of personalisation options.
With its advanced hybrid technology, efficient powertrain, and comprehensive safety features, the Mitsubishi Xforce HEV is poised to capture attention in Thailand’s competitive B-segment SUV market. As the global automotive industry continues its shift towards electrification, the Xforce HEV marks a significant step for Mitsubishi in the region.
