2025 Hyundai Palisade unveiled in South Korea, engine tbc
Hyundai has unveiled the 2025 Palisade in South Korea, marking a significant departure from its previous design. The new model boasts a more assertive and robust appearance, featuring a massive grille flanked by vertically stacked daytime running lights. The actual headlights are subtly integrated within the grille’s frame, while the rear design mirrors the front with stacked taillights and substantial 21-inch wheels.
The Palisade’s proportions have been reimagined, with an extended wheelbase and rear overhang, coupled with a shortened front overhang. This redesign imparts a more solid and purposeful stance. Chrome accents on the D-pillars and bumpers add a touch of elegance to the SUV’s exterior.
Inside, Hyundai introduces what it calls a “Premium Living Space.” The cabin features a horizontal dashboard that flows seamlessly from side to side, complemented by a curved widescreen display housing dual 12.3-inch screens—one for the instrument cluster and another for infotainment.
Higher trim levels offer an “island-style” center console equipped with a 100-watt USB-C port capable of charging laptops, a Qi wireless charger, and cleverly designed armrests. For those needing additional seating, Hyundai provides a nine-seater configuration with a bench replacing the center console, a practical choice in markets like South Korea, where this layout qualifies for tax exemptions and access to bus lanes.
While Hyundai has not officially disclosed the powertrain details, rumors suggest the introduction of a new 2.5-liter turbocharged hybrid engine delivering approximately 335 PS and 456 Nm of torque. If accurate, this would offer more power than the previous V6 engine and result in a more favorable tax situation in regions where road tax is linked to engine size.
The 2025 Hyundai Palisade is expected to be available in various markets, including Malaysia, where its combination of enhanced design, advanced features, and potential tax benefits could make it an attractive option for SUV enthusiasts.
