2024 Mercedes-Benz GLC 350 e launched in Malaysia, RM399k – GLC 300 dropped
Along with the launch of the all-new W214 Mercedes-Benz E-Class in Malaysia, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia took the opportunity to also introduce a new variant of the GLC in Malaysia – the Mercedes-Benz GLC 350e 4MATIC. The 350 e 4MATIC now replaces the GLC 300 4MATIC, and its costs RM398,888.
Basically a plug-in hybrid version of the GLC, the new variant looks exactly the same as the GLC 300 4MATIC, except for the new charging port that is located on the rear quarter panel. The GLC 350 e 4MATIC is also equipped with the same AMG Line parts that includes the 20-inch AMG multi-spoke light-alloy wheels.
A quick summary of the GLC 350 e’s exterior equipment is as such:

As opposed to the GLC 300’s mild hybrid (MHEV) powertrain, the GLC 350 e gets a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) setup that consists of a 2.0-litre engine and an electric motor. The system’s maximum output is rated at 313 hp and 550 Nm.
In case you were wondering about the performance breakdown, the 2.0-litre engine itself makes 150 hp and 320 Nm while the electric motor outputs 100 kW and 440 Nm at maximum. Working in harmony with a 9G-Tronic automatic transmission and sending power to all 4 wheels, the system enables a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 6.7 seconds and a top speed of 218 km/h.
As for the interior equipment of the 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLC 350 e 4MATIC, it maintains the familiar cabin layout. It gets the following items as standard:

As for safety, the GLC 350 e is better equipped than the GLC 300 that it replaces. It comes with the brand’s Driving Assistance Package Plus and Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC which was not available in the GLC 300 4MATIC. The full list of the GLC 350 e’s safety items is as such:

With the new GLC 350 e variant’s Malaysian debut, the GLC SUV is now exclusively available as a plug-in hybrid only. Its coupe counterpart is still sold in the sole GLC 300 variant.
