From RM130k, 2026 Jetour T1 launched in Malaysia – T2’s less-rugged sibling

Jetour Auto Malaysia has launched the Jetour T1, which is available in two variants: the entry-level 1.5L TGDi 2WD and the range-topping 2.0L TGDi XWD, priced at RM 129,800 and RM 146,800, respectively. Rather than being a smaller version of the Jetour T2, the Jetour T1 is positioned alongside it. The T1 is aimed at the everyday modern lifestyle, while the Jetour T2 is marketed as the brand’s premium adventure SUV.

Dimension-wise, the Jetour T1 is slightly smaller than the Jetour T2, measuring 4,705 mm long, 1,967 mm wide, with a wheelbase of 2,800 mm. Compared to the T2, the T1 is 80 mm shorter and 39 mm narrower, but has a 10 mm longer wheelbase. Interestingly, excluding the T2’s external rear-mounted spare wheel box, the T1 is actually almost 100 mm longer. Like the T2, the T1 is built on a unibody construction rather than a body-on-frame chassis, despite offering high ground clearance and a water wading depth of up to 600 mm.

At the front, the T1 features a bold design with a large ‘Jetour’ wordmark across the grille, flanked by the brand’s ‘Storm-Eye’ LED headlamps. The rugged styling is complemented by a large matte black front bumper with integrated fog lamps. The bold design continues along the sides with prominent wheel arch cladding and side steps that make getting in and out of the vehicle easier.

Inside, the cabin closely resembles that of the T2, featuring a utilitarian design complemented by premium-feel upholstery and materials throughout. A few interior features differ between the two variants, with the 2.0L TGDi XWD receiving a larger infotainment display, a panoramic sunroof with a tilt-and-slide function and power sunshade, as well as a power-adjustable front passenger seat with a leg rest, among other upgrades.
