Geely Galaxy Light (2nd-gen) concept car debuts in Beijing
The Geely Galaxy Light 2nd-gen concept car made its global debut at the 2026 Beijing Auto Show, offering a glimpse into the brand’s future design direction. The first Geely Galaxy Light concept laid the aesthetic foundation for the EV era, while this second-generation model introduces a “Unified ICE & EV” philosophy, signalling the end of distinct visual identities for different powertrains.
At the front, the Geely Galaxy Light 2nd-gen features the “Galaxy Starfall” concept, which moves away from closed-off grilles to accommodate airflow and cooling requirements for ICE, PHEV, and BEV models. The LED headlights are inspired by traditional architectural eaves known as “Flying Eaves”, while the LED taillights adopt a full-width celestial design called the “Rising Sun”.
From the side, the Geely Galaxy Light 2nd-gen adopts a “Rising Tiger” stance, departing from the low-slung, supercar-like profile of its predecessor. Although it now features an upright three-box sedan silhouette, its width projects the commanding presence of a flagship model.
The Geely Galaxy Light 2nd-gen features suicide doors and omits a B-pillar. Inside, it reveals a four-seat layout with “Chinese Chair” seating, bright LED strips along the door cards, and “Jiwen” patterns subtly integrated into the air vents and steering wheel. The speakers incorporate “Three Pools Mirroring the Moon” motifs, while the centre console showcases “Rippling Collection” design elements.
The Geely Galaxy Light 2nd-gen remains a concept car for now, with no indication of whether it will be an ICE vehicle or a BEV. Geely has stated that it serves as a “north star” for the brand’s design and technical direction in future production models. For Malaysians, it may offer a glimpse of what future Proton models may look like.
