Hyundai IONIQ 5 N, IONIQ 6 N open for booking in Malaysia – est. RM 450K and RM 460K

Hyundai Motor Malaysia has announced that the Hyundai IONIQ 5 N and the Hyundai IONIQ 6 N are now open for booking. This announcement marks the Korean brand’s first entry into Malaysia’s high-performance electric vehicle segment. The estimated price for the Hyundai IONIQ 5 N is RM 450,000, while the Hyundai IONIQ 6 N is estimated at RM 460,000.

Hyundai Motor Malaysia Managing Director, Jahabarnisa Haja Mohideen, said “Today marks a special occasion for us as it is Hyundai Motor Malaysia’s first time participating in the Malaysia Autoshow since the brand’s direct entry into Malaysia. In celebrating our debut, we are ushering in a thrilling new era of electrified high performance with Hyundai N through the IONIQ 5 N and IONIQ 6 N models. Each model we introduce to the market is designed to meet different lifestyles and needs, while reflecting our commitment to our customers in Malaysia – Sentiasa di sisi anda.”

The Hyundai IONIQ 5 N is the high-performance counterpart to the Hyundai IONIQ 5. It is powered by a dual-motor all-wheel-drive powertrain producing a combined output of 650 PS. This enables a 0–100 km/h sprint in 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 260 km/h, while maintaining a WLTP range of 448 km. On the exterior, it features an “N mask” front fascia with air curtains and cooling flaps, a large rear diffuser, and a wing-type spoiler. Inside, it is equipped with N-exclusive performance bucket seats, a dedicated N steering wheel, and an N e-shift feature that simulates an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission for a more traditional performance car feel.

The Hyundai IONIQ 6 N, on the other hand, is a high-performance electric sedan counterpart to the Hyundai IONIQ 6. It is also powered by a dual-motor all-wheel-drive powertrain producing 650 PS. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds and reaches a top speed of 257 km/h, while maintaining a WLTP range of 487 km. Built on the streamlined silhouette of the Hyundai IONIQ 6 sedan platform, the IONIQ 6 N adds a swan-neck spoiler for improved aerodynamics and stability. Like the IONIQ 5 N, it also features the N e-shift system.

Both the Hyundai IONIQ 5 N and Hyundai IONIQ 6 N will be built to order, according to Hyundai Motor Malaysia. Bookings are now open, with estimated prices starting from RM 450,000 and RM 460,000, respectively. Each booking comes with official Hyundai N merchandise worth RM 2,000.
