2026 Proton X70 Sport Edition unveiled, limited to 600 units

The 2026 Proton X70 Sport Edition has been introduced and is now available for public viewing at selected showrooms, with bookings officially open. The Proton X70 Sport Edition is based on the Premium variant of the Proton X70 MC3, which was launched earlier this year at RM 119,800. The official price of the Sport Edition will be revealed on April 16, 2026, and it is limited to 600 units.

Following a growing trend from the national carmaker, the Proton X70 Sport Edition comes exclusively in a Quartz Black exterior colour. This is similar to the Proton X50, which has also adopted the dark hue as standard across all variants.

On the exterior, the model features front, side, and rear skirts with red accents for a sportier look. It also comes with blacked-out 19-inch alloy wheels, while Sport Edition badges help distinguish it from other variants.

Stepping inside, the sporty theme continues with Sport Edition logos embroidered on the front seats, along with red contrast stitching on the seats, the Nappa leather-wrapped steering wheel, and the front armrest. A boot tray is also included as standard.

Apart from these enhancements, the Proton X70 Sport Edition retains the features of the Premium variant. It is powered by the BHE15-EFZ 1.5L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, producing 181 PS and 290 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed DCT that drives the front wheels.
