Another added feature is a power-adjustable leg support for the front seats, together with the existing ventilation and heating function.

The number of speakers has been upgraded to a total of 18 speakers with 1 subwoofer. Two Qi wireless (1 x 50W, 1 x 30W) chargers with active cooling have also been added. Apart from that, the Tesla Model Y L retains the 16-inch first-row infotainment touchscreen, an 8-inch second-row touchscreen, panoramic roof, ambient lighting, 8 cameras, and a hands-free powered tailgate. The seat upholstery remains vegan leather with a standard black interior; switching to the Zen Grey Premium interior is optional. Cargo space is at 2,539 litres.

In terms of battery size, the Tesla Model Y L gets a larger 82 kWh NMC battery, capable of a WLTP range of 681 km, compared to the 629 km range of the regular Tesla Model Y AWD variant. Peak charging power remains at 250 kW. The dual-motor produces 462 PS, which allows the six-seater EV SUV to get from 0 – 100 km/h in 5 seconds, and a top speed of 201 km/h. There’s even an adaptive damping suspension that caters to different numbers of passengers inside the vehicle for optimum ride quality.
