2026 Proton X50 gets Quartz Black exterior colour, limited to 200 units
The first limited unit of the facelifted Proton X50 has just been released by Proton, which features a new Quartz Black exterior colour. This colour was not previously available for the Proton X50. Proton has typically reserved black paint finishes only for certain models or limited-run editions, as well as military personnel vehicles. The Proton X50 in Quartz Black is offered exclusively in the Flagship variant and is limited to just 200 units.
Donned in metallic Quartz Black paint, the rest of the exterior details remain identical to the Proton X50 Flagship. The wheels are 18-inch units wrapped in 215/55 R18 tyres, with no blacked-out alloy wheels included. The exterior details also remain unchanged, complete with the rear spoiler, roof rails, and powered tailgate.
The powertrain remains the same, featuring a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged i-GT engine paired with a 7-speed DCT. The engine produces 181 PS and 290 Nm of torque, driving only the front wheels.
Since this is a Proton X50 Flagship variant, it retains features such as a panoramic sunroof, walk-away auto lock, ambient lighting, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, as well as a rear centre armrest and rear air vents.
In terms of safety, the Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), along with six airbags and a 360º camera, comes as standard for the Proton X50 in Quartz Black. Pricing remains the same as the regular Proton X50 Flagship at RM 113,300.
