Launching in Malaysia soon: New G45 2025 BMW X3 and F74 BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe spotted
BMW Malaysia has teased two new models set to be launched at MY BMW World 2025, which takes place at The Yard @ Sentul Depot from June 13 to 15. We can now confirm exactly what they are – the all-new G45 2025 BMW X3 and the F74 BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe – thanks to these spyshots of undisguised units on a car transporter.
The new G45 X3, which replaces the G01, is identifiable by its dual L blades daytime running lights, wide lower grille split in the middle, flush door handles, and revised rear-end styling. One of the units bears a X3 20 xDrive badge, in line with BMW’s updated naming convention that omits the ‘i’ suffix for petrol models.
The G45 is longer and wider than the previous model, with a slightly lower overall height. Inside, it gets the BMW Curved Display and a wraparound dashboard design, with ambient lighting expected as standard.
Also present is the new F74 2 Series Gran Coupe, which features new front and rear lighting elements, repositioned kidney grille, and trim with a ‘2’ emblem near the C-pillars. Like the new 1 Series, the cabin no longer includes a physical iDrive knob or traditional gear selector, replaced by a stubby toggle and touchscreen-based controls.
Both the outgoing X3 and 2GC are locally assembled (CKD) in Malaysia, and this is expected to continue for the new models. Full details on features, variants, and specifications will be revealed during the event.
