Chery Omoda 5 facelift revealed with simplified “Diamond Grille”

A 2025 facelift is due for the Chery Omoda 5, and its first official images has been released by Omoda Russia on its social media account. Only shown in the front three-quarter angle for now, the petrol-powered Omoda 5 as we know it in Malaysia is known as the Omoda C5 in Russia. In Russia, the Omoda C5 also comes with 1.6-litre turbocharged AWD variants.

Based on the image shared by Omoda Russia, the main update to the Chery Omoda 5 would be its new face. There is an “Omoda” lettering in between the headlights (like on the Omoda E5, and the diamond-clustered grille gets a more simplified treatment. It also appears to get a new seat of headlights which seem to have been inspired from the fully-electric Omoda 5.

With the new grille, the Omoda 5 also gets a new front bumper that sports a cleaner look. Completing the new look of the Omoda 5 (or Omoda C% in Russia) would be the new set of wheels with a dark finish.

No further details have been revealed, but the Omoda 5/C5 is likely to carry over both of its 1.5-litre turbocharged and 1.6-litre turbocharged engines. While Malaysia only gets the Chery Omoda 5 with its 1.5-litre turbocharged engine and front-wheel drive setup, the Omoda C5 gets two engine options with the 1.6-litre turbo variants even equipped with all-wheel drive (AWD).

In Malaysia, the Chery Omoda 5 was launched in July 2023, and it was made available in 2 variants – C and H. The Omoda 5 C currently costs RM99,800 while the Omoda 5 H currently costs RM 118,800, on-the-road and without insurance. As standard, the Omoda 5 in Malaysia comes with a 7-year/150,000 km vehicle warranty and a 5-year free service package. There is also an option to extend the warranty to 10 years/1,000,000 km.
