All-new Audi Q4 40 e-tron debuts - up to 423km range, 204PS, 165kW fast charging
Audi is reinforcing its commitment to electric mobility with the introduction of the Q4 40 e-tron, a high-range, entry-level variant of the popular Q4 e-tron series. This premium electric SUV offers an impressive range, faster charging capabilities, and enhanced connectivity, making it a strong contender in the growing EV market.
The Audi Q4 40 e-tron comes equipped with a 63 kWh battery (gross capacity), delivering a maximum range of up to 412 km while the Sportback version extends this to 423 km under WLTP conditions. This ensures peace of mind for both daily commutes and longer journeys.
Performance remains a highlight, with the 150 kW (204 PS) electric motor propelling the Q4 40 e-tron from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.1 seconds, with a top speed of 160 km/h . Positioned on the rear axle, the permanently excited synchronous motor (PSM) ensures efficient power delivery while maintaining Audi’s signature driving dynamics.
Additionally, the towing capacity of the Q4 40 e-tron is rated at 1,000 kg on a 12% incline and 1,200 kg on an 8% incline, making it a practical choice for those needing extra utility.
With DC fast charging power of up to, the Q4 40 e-tron significantly reduces charging time. Under optimal conditions, the battery can charge from 10% to 80% in just 24 minutes. A quick 10-minute charge can add up to 150 km of range (Sportback: 155 km), ensuring minimal downtime on long trips.
To optimize charging efficiency, Audi has introduced manual battery preconditioning, allowing drivers to preheat the battery before charging via the MMI system. This feature ensures maximum charging power at every station, even without using the vehicle’s intelligent route planner.
Audi is taking convenience a step further with a predictive maintenance reminder, available through the myAudi app. Drivers can monitor the condition of key vehicle components, including brake pads, the 12V battery, and the first-aid kit, using a color-coded indicator system. When service is required, the pre-selected Audi dealer is notified to schedule an appointment, simplifying maintenance management.
The Q4 40 e-tron is packed with high-tech connectivity features. Audi’s MMI system now includes an Audi application store, offering access to a growing selection of news, podcasts, sports, games, and entertainment apps—all without the need for a smartphone. This is made possible by a 25 GB data package (included for one year) via Cubic Telecom.
Additionally, Audi has integrated ChatGPT into the Q4 40 e-tron’s voice control system. This upgrade allows drivers to ask questions, control infotainment, navigation, and climate settingsusing natural speech commands, improving safety by allowing them to keep their focus on the road.
The Q4 40 e-tron offers extensive standard equipment, including:
• Audi MMI Navigation Plus
• Audi connect navigation & infotainment
• 10.25-inch Audi virtual cockpit
• Electric tailgate (gesture-controlled with the optional comfort key)
• Heated front seats
The Q4 Sportback 40 e-tron is also available starting at 48,150 euros (RM 223,401), and both models can be ordered from mid-February.
With its enhanced range, fast-charging capability, predictive maintenance, and next-gen connectivity, the Audi Q4 40 e-tron reinforces Audi’s commitment to innovation and sustainable mobility. As the EV market continues to expand, Audi’s latest entry-level electric SUV sets a new benchmark for practicality, performance, and premium comfort in its segment.
