Mercedes-Benz Malaysia launch recap – C200 AMG Line, CLE53 AMG Coupe, CLA45 S Final Edition

Mercedes-Ben Malaysia has launched three new variants this week, led by the locally-assembled C200 AMG Line that will replace the Avantgarde trim in the W206 C-Class range. Also joining the line-up are the AMG CLE53 Coupe and the CLA45 S Final Edition.

Mercedes-Benz C200 AMG Line (CKD) – RM 292,888

The new C200 AMG Line is priced at RM 292,888 and is locally assembled (CKD) in Pekan. It runs a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 204 PS and 300 Nm, plus mild-hybrid assist for temporary 23 PS/200 Nm boosts. Power goes to the rear wheels via a nine-speed 9G-Tronic automatic.

Equipment highlights include 19-inch AMG multi-spoke alloys with upgraded front brakes, AMG exterior styling, a 360-degree camera, wireless charging, powered seats with memory, ambient lighting, and twin displays (12.3-inch cluster, 11.9-inch central touchscreen).

Mercedes-AMG CLE53 4Matic+ Coupe – RM 722,888

The CLE53 AMG Coupe is powered by a 3.0-litre turbocharged inline-six mild hybrid with 449 PS and up to 600 Nm. Paired with a nine-speed auto and fully variable 4Matic+ AWD, it does 0–100 km/h in 4.2 seconds and tops out at 250 km/h (270 km/h with AMG Driver’s Package).

Kit includes AMG Ride Control suspension, rear-wheel steering, AMG Dynamic Plus with Drift Mode, and 20-inch alloys. Inside, AMG Performance seats, Burmester 3D sound and AMG-specific MBUX functions with Track Pace telemetry are fitted.

Mercedes-AMG CLA45 S 4Matic+ Final Edition – RM 538,888

The CLA45 S Final Edition marks the last of the current CLA before the next-gen goes electric-first. Power is unchanged: a 2.0-litre turbo four with 421 PS and 500 Nm, 0–100 km/h in 4.1 seconds, top speed 270 km/h.

The Final Edition adds AMG Night Package II in black chrome, two exclusive colours (Alpine Grey, Patagonia Red), and unique trim details. Equipment carries over, including AMG Performance seats, forged 19-inch AMG alloys and the full Driving Assistance Package.
