Volvo Car Malaysia has officially introduced the EX90, its new all-electric flagship SUV, priced at RM442,888 for the Ultra Twin variant. The sole variant of the Volvo EX90 arrives in Malaysia as a locally assembled (CKD) model, making our market among the first in the region to offer the premium electric SUV with local production.

  • Volvo EX90 Ultra Twin – RM442,888

Built on the SPA2 platform, the EX90 carries a clean and purposeful look that aligns closely with Volvo’s electric design language. It features:

  • Pixel LED headlamps,
  • Flush door handles that hint at aerodynamic efficiency
  • Split designed Taillights
  • 20-inch Wheels

Its dimensions of 5,037 mm length , 1,964 mm width, and 1,744 mm height with a 2,985 mm wheelbase, places it above the XC90 in size. Standard exterior features include 20-inch alloy wheels, flush door handles, a panoramic glass roof, and a design that communicates quiet sophistication rather than flash.

Step inside and the EX90 welcomes you with a minimalist interior that feels airy, refined, and tech-forward. A prominent 14.5-inch touchscreen sits at the centre, running the latest version of Android Automotive OS with built-in Google services and wireless Apple CarPlay.

Sustainability is key to the EX90’s materials, which include Nordico upholstery (made from recycled PET bottles and bio-based materials) and responsibly sourced wood trim. Key cabin features include:

  • 9-inch digital instrument cluster
  • 14.5-inch infotainment screen
  • 4-zone climate control with rear vents
  • Qi wireless charging
  • 14-speaker Bose system (Twin Motor Plus) / 25-speaker Bowers & Wilkins system (Performance Ultra)
  • Massage, heating and ventilation functions for the front seats

In true Volvo fashion, the cabin is practical too—with ample third-row space, smart storage solutions, and flat floor made possible by its EV platform.

In Malaysia, the sole Ultra Twin variant features A dual-motor all-wheel drive powertrain that’s powered by a 111 kWh lithium-ion NMC battery (107 kWh usable).

The EX90 debuts Volvo’s most advanced driver assistance suite to date, leveraging a robust sensor array:

  • LiDAR sensor (by Luminar) mounted on the roof, with 250-metre range
  • Five radars, eight cameras, and 16 ultrasonic sensors
