2025 Honda Civic launched in Malaysia - RM134k-RM168k, 182PS, 240Nm
Honda Malaysia has officially introduced the facelifted 11th-generation (FE) Honda Civic today. The latest iteration retains its established line-up of four variants, featuring three petrol-powered options (1.5L E, 1.5L V, and 1.5L RS) alongside the hybrid flagship, the 2.0L e:HEV RS. The new Civic sees slight adjustments to its pricing:
•1.5L E: RM 133,900 (+RM 2,000 from before)
•1.5L V: RM 144,900 (unchanged)
•1.5L RS: RM 149,900 (-RM 2,000 from before)
•2.0L e:HEV RS: RM 167,900 (unchanged)
*All prices are on-the-road without insurance, maintaining competitive value in the C-segment market.

The updated Civic showcases a refreshed front bumper design, featuring a more pronounced lower section and sleek air curtains that replace the earlier fog lamp housings. The main grille has been enlarged, eliminating the prominent “forehead” of the pre-facelift model, and now incorporates a honeycomb mesh pattern that extends to the lower intake for a cohesive look. While the redesigned front end adds 3 mm to the overall length, bringing it to 4,681 mm. Whereas, the width (1,802 mm), height (1,415 mm), and wheelbase (2,735 mm) remain unchanged
At the rear, the design is largely unchanged from the pre-facelift model, with the only noticeable update being the addition of smoked taillights. Inside, the cabin retains its familiar layout, including the dashboard design, a free-standing infotainment touchscreen, the signature honeycomb mesh covering the air vents, the steering wheel, and the centre console arrangement.

The petrol variants of the facelifted Civic are powered by Honda’s renowned 1.5L VTEC Turbo engine. This inline-four powerhouse generates:
•182 PS at 6,000 rpm
•240 Nm of torque from 1,700 to 4,500 rpm
Power is delivered to the front wheels through a continuously variable transmission (CVT) with seven virtual speeds, ensuring smooth acceleration and responsive performance. This combination offers the dynamic driving experience that Civic owners have come to appreciate.
The hybrid flagship, the e:HEV RS, features Honda’s Intelligent Multi-Mode Drive (i-MMD) system, which combines a 2.0L naturally aspirated inline-four petrol engine with an electric motor for remarkable hybrid performance.
•The petrol engine, running on the Atkinson cycle, produces 143 PS at 6,000 rpm and 184 Nm of torque from 5,000 to 6,000 rpm.
•The electric motor, powered by a 1.05-kWh lithium-ion battery, delivers 184 PS from 5,000 to 6,000 rpm and an impressive 315 Nm of torque from 0 to 2,000 rpm.
The hybrid system primarily uses the electric motor for propulsion, with the petrol engine acting as a generator to charge the battery. However, at higher speeds, the engine can provide direct drive via a lock-up clutch for greater efficiency. This sophisticated system ensures smooth, seamless transitions between electric and petrol power, delivering both fuel efficiency and powerful performance.

A major highlight of the new Civic is the upgraded 9-inch Advanced Display Audio system, now standard across all variants. The infotainment system introduces Google built-in, making Honda the first Japanese brand in Malaysia to offer this feature. This provides users access to Google services like Google Play, Maps, and Assistant directly from the screen.
Additionally, wireless Android Auto support is now included, complementing the previously available wireless Apple CarPlay. Every variant also comes equipped with Honda Connect telematics, ensuring enhanced connectivity, as well as Ecotint solar and security window film tint for added safety and convenience.
