2024 Mitsubishi Triton launched in Malaysia, from RM102k

The highly anticipated all-new Mitsubishi Triton has officially launched in Malaysia, and the pricing starts from RM101,980 for the Single Cab and goes up to RM165,980 for the Athlete variant. The price also comes with a 5-year/200,000 km mileage warranty (a limited time 5-year/unlimited mileage warranty is currently offered). Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) is introducing five variants of the 2025 Triton, ranging from the Triton Single Cab, a high-rider replacing the previous low-rider double cab Triton Quest, to the top-tier Triton Athlete.

  • Triton Single Cab MT –RM101,980
  • Triton GL MT – 114,980
  • Triton GL AT – RM116,980
  • Triton Premium – RM145,980
  • Triton Athlete – RM165,980

According to Shinya Ikeda, CEO of MMM, Mitsubishi has produced about 5.6 million pickup trucks over 45 years, spanning five generations since the vehicle’s debut in 1978. With sales in 150 countries, the Triton has become a global strategic vehicle for the company. The sixth-generation Triton is fully redesigned, with significant updates to its exterior, interior, chassis, ladder frame, and engine.

MMM has highlighted six key features of the new Triton: Robust Elevated Styling (dubbed “Beast Mode” design), Enhanced Performance (a 2.4L turbodiesel engine producing 204 PS and 470 Nm), Larger Body (with a new ‘mega-frame’ chassis), Superior Ride Comfort, Advanced Safety (including Active Yaw Control and ADAS), and SUV-Inspired Comforts such as wireless charging and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto integration.

MMM claims that the new Triton Single Cab boasts the best-in-class power and the largest cargo bed in its segment, measuring 2,340 mm in length and 1,580 mm in width. The Triton’s double cab version is also larger than before, with dimensions of 5,360 mm in length, 1,930 mm in width, and 1,815 mm in height—making it 55 mm longer, 115 mm wider, and 35 mm taller than the previous model. Notably, the 150 PS/330 Nm version of this engine won’t be offered in Malaysia. Compared to its predecessor, the outgoing 2.4L Triton, which had 181 PS/430 Nm, the new Single Cab is a significant upgrade. Additionally, the new model comes with a six-speed manual transmission (6MT) and four-wheel drive (4WD), versus the previous five-speed manual and rear-wheel drive configuration.
