2024 Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 4MATIC Coupe (CKD) launched in Malaysia – RM499k, 408PS, 500Nm
Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has officially launched the 2024 C254 Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 4MATIC Coupe in the country. The performance variant of the coupe-styled crossover is being introduced today alongside the (W167/C167) Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 4ATIC+ facelift in SUV and Coupe forms. The new GLC 43 fetches a price of RM498,888, on-the-road, without insurance.
The new GLC 43 is powered by a 2.0 litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine, which takes over from the 3.0 litre V6 seen in the C253 iteration of the model type. The 2.0L inline 4-cylinder M139l turbocharged petrol engine that was sourced from its cousin the A45s, delivers 408 PS and 500 Nm, which is 41 PS more and 20 Nm less than the old V6’s output.
Just like the M260 mill seen on the two AMG 35s, the engine is paired with a second-generation 48-volt mild hybrid system with a belt-driven starter generator (BSG), which offers 14 PS (13 hp or 10 kW) of extra umph.. under hard acceleration. The unit also facilitates smooth operation of the engine’s start-stop system and gliding mode functions.
Working in conjunction with a 9-speed automatic AMG SPEEDSHIFT Multi-Clutch Transmission and an AMG Performance 4MATIC all-wheel drive system, the 4-pot gets the car to 100 km/h from standstill in 4.8 seconds, and up to an electronically limited top speed of 250km/h.

Exterior design elements include an AMG specific radiator grille with the Panamericana Grille in chrome/gloss black, an AMG front apron, larger air intakes, a rear silver-coloured/glossblack diffuser apron and quad exhaust finishers.
