Zeekr Malaysia goes direct: New national sales company formed, Sentinel Automotive now importer and dealer
It’s now official. Zeekr has taken over its own brand operations in Malaysia. The EV-only brand under Geely has established Zeekr Intelligent Technology (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd as its national sales company (NSC), replacing previous distributor Sentinel Automotive in that role.
That said, Sentinel isn’t out of the picture. The company will continue to operate within the Zeekr ecosystem as both importer and authorised dealer, alongside other dealer partners like Preeminent Auto and Carro.
What does this change?
With the new NSC in place, Zeekr Malaysia now directly manages its own wholesale operations, marketing, aftersales, and dealer network development. According to Zeekr Southeast Asia MD Alex Bao, Malaysia is a “priority market” and will receive significant investments in network, service, and branding.
Currently, there are only two showrooms open:
- Zeekr Space Petaling Jaya
- Zeekr Space IOI Mall, Puchong
That will expand to ten outlets total by the end of 2025, with eight more locations confirmed:
- Bandar Sunway – by July
- Jalan Yap Kwan Seng – by July
- Bangsar – Q3
- Johor Bahru (Skudai) – Q3
- Penang – Q3
- Seremban – Q4
- Melaka – Q4
- Ipoh – Q4
Three Zeekr Service Centres will also open this year in Bandar Sunway, Penang, and Johor Bahru.
