“Xiaomi EV Co. Ltd.” Registered- RMB 10 Billion Capital, 16,000 Engineers Employed
“Xiaomi EV Company Limited” has been officially registered by Xiaomi corporation with a registered capital of RMB 10 billion (RM 6.4 billion). After much anticipation, it is finally official.
Spearheading Xiaomi EV Company Limited is Lei Jun, founder, CEO and Chairman. Lei Jun is the legal representative of the new EV company.
Starting with about 300 employees in Q2 2021, Xiaomi EV has then acquired Deepmotion Technology, and autonomous driving technology company, on 25 August and now has 16,000 engineers employed.
The Xiaomi EV team has conducted a massive amount of user research and industry chain inspections, with more than 2,000 interview surveys and visits to over 10 industry peers and partners, while pressing ahead with the EV product definition and team formation.
