Honda Malaysia confirms 3 new model launches in 2025 – e:N1, HR-V facelift, Civic facelift

Honda Malaysia has confirmed that it will be launching three new models in 2025. This announcement was made by the company’s Managing Director and CEO, Hironobu Yoshimura, during Honda Malaysia’s annual media gathering.

Among the three upcoming models, Honda Malaysia has officially confirmed the Civic facelift, which was unveiled globally in January. The updated model is expected to bring minor design tweaks, enhanced technology features, and possibly improved efficiency to maintain its competitive edge in the C-segment sedan market.

Additionally, the much-anticipated Honda e:N1, the company’s first electric vehicle (EV) for Malaysia, will also make its debut this year. The e:N1—previewed at the 2024 Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS)—is an all-electric crossover that shares its platform with the HR-V but comes with a fully electric powertrain. This marks Honda’s first step into Malaysia’s growing EV segment, and it will be interesting to see how it fares against rivals in an increasingly competitive market.

While Honda Malaysia has yet to confirm the third model, speculation points toward the HR-V facelift. The refreshed version of Honda’s popular B-segment SUV was introduced in Thailand late last year. Given that the current-generation HR-V was launched in Malaysia in July 2022, it is now approaching the typical three-year mark for a mid-cycle update. If launched, the facelifted HR-V is expected to bring minor styling updates, improved features, and possibly new powertrain options.

With the Civic facelift, e:N1 EV, and a likely HR-V facelift, Honda Malaysia is set to reinforce its position as the leading non-national car brand in the country. These new models cater to a broad range of customers, from those looking for a stylish and practical sedan to eco-conscious buyers considering an electric SUV.
