2024 Mercedes-AMG G 63 launched in Malaysia – RM1.9M, 4.0L V8 biturbo

Among the 6 new models launched by Mercedes-Benz Malaysia during the recent “Luxury Like No Other” event is the 2024 Mercedes-AMG G 63 facelift (W465). The hottest version of the G Wagon retails at RM1,948,888, on-the-road, without insurance.

As expected of an AMG model of this calibre, the 2024 G 63 is powered by a 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine that puts out 585 PS at 6,000 rpm and 850 Nm of torque at 2,500-3,500 rpm. Like most new Mercedes-Benz models today, the G 63 also gets assistance from an Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) that puts out 20 PS (15 kW) and 200 Nm when needed. The engine is paired with an AMG SPEEDSHIFT TCT 9G transmission and with power sent to all four wheels, the G 63 is capable of a 4.4-second 0-100 km/h acceleration time.

The G 63’s (or the G Wagon’s) design needs no introduction as we have all become familiar with its boxy yet iconic design. In fact it’s so iconic that a few copycats have spawned in the recent years. Among the standard items on the 2024 G 63 are:
