Toyota Vios Hybrid launched in Malaysia – RM 104k, 2 variants, GR Sport returns

UMW Toyota Motor has finally launched the anticipated Toyota Vios Hybrid in Malaysia. This mild hybrid B-segment sedan comes in 2 variants, the Toyota Vios HEV and the returning GR Sport trim, the Toyota Vios HEV GR-S. Prices on the road, excluding insurance, are RM 103,900 and RM 109,900, respectively.

Focusing first on the main difference between this Toyota Vios Hybrid and its non-hybrid counterpart, the powertrain. Equipped with the 4^th Generation Toyota Hybrid Electric System, features Intelligent Self-Charging through regenerative braking, Maintenance-Free Hybrid Battery, and Excellent Fuel Efficiency by shutting off the engine during urban commute. A combined power output of 111 PS is achieved with an NEDC combined fuel consumption of 3.6L/100 km.

The Toyota Vios Hybrid will be sold with a 5-year vehicle warranty with unlimited mileage, and an 8-year warranty with unlimited mileage that covers the hybrid battery, inverter, and power management control ECU.
