GMW Wey G9 launched in Malaysia, RM 270k – Premium PHEV MPV, AWD, 1,000 km range
Great Wall Motor (GWM) Malaysia has launched the GWM Wey G9, a 7-seater plug-in hybrid MPV locally assembled here in Malaysia. The GWM Wey G9 is priced at RM 269,800 on the road without insurance.
The GWM Wey G9 measures 5,050 mm long, 1.985 mm wide, 1,900 mm tall, and has a wheelbase of 3,085 mm. The front exterior features a waterfall design grille, while the rear tail lamps are designed inspired by bamboo forests.

Under the bonnet, the GWM Wey G9 is powered by the Hi4 Technology plug-in hybrid system, combining the 1.5L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with dual electric motors, providing its AWD drivetrain setup. In total, the system produces 442 PS and 642 Nm of torque with 0 to 100 km/h acceleration in 5.7 seconds and a top speed of 190 km/h.

Full charge on AC from 15% to 100% is in 6.5 hours, while DC fast charging from 30% to 80% can be accomplished in 26 minutes.
