2025 BMW 320i Sport launched in Malaysia, RM292k – no more “M Sport”, gets comfort suspension
BMW Group Malaysia has just confirmed the price of the BMW 320i Sport at RM292,200* (with the Extended Warranty & Service package). And if you’re a fan of the 3 series, you may notice that the letter “M” is missing in its name as the 320i for Malaysia now only gets a “Sport” guise. This is new for the LCI 2 as it was originally the 320i M Sport in its 1st LCI iteration.
This marks a new entry price point for the 3 Series in Malaysia, although undoubtedly it is slightly lesser equipped. And if I if you weren’t aware of the changes that the LCI 2 brings to the 3 Series, well a few small changes include the redesigned air conditioning vents, new wheel designs, and new steering wheel designs. And for the Malaysian market, a good news is that Active Cruise Control (ACC) with Stop & Go is now a standard item.
*Price without Warranty & Service Package is RM265,800
The lack of the “M Sport” trim introduces a more subdued look for the BMW 320i Sport. The bumpers have a more civil look and the 18-inch wheel Style 780 wheels give the appearance of a more comfortable cruiser. Among the highlights of the BMW 320i Sport’s exterior are:
- 18-inch Style 780 wheels (bicolour)
- Runflat tyres
- “Sport” package
- LED headlights with high beam assistant
- Exterior line satin aluminium trim
- Comfort Suspension (as opposed to Adaptive M Suspension in 330i)
As for its cabin, what would grab your attention is the new 2-spoke steering wheel. Since the re was never a “Sport” trim for us in Malaysia during the 1st LCI, this new setup no doubt looks a bit weird. The cabin also gets Sensated perforated upholstery and matt ‘Dark Graphite’ interior trims. A summary of the BMW 320i Sport’s interior equipment would include the likes of:
- Sensatec’ Perforated upholstery
- Matt ‘Dark Graphite’ interior trim
- Sports steering wheel
- Sport seats for driver and front passenger
- 3-zone automatic climate control
- Ambient light
- Automatic tailgate
- Twin curved display (with 12.3” instrument cluster and 14.9” head unit)
- Head up display (HUD)
- 6-speaker stereo system
Performance-wise, the 320i sports the familiar inline-4 B48 engine with a more civilised tune, producing 184 hp and 300 Nm at max. Unlike the C200, the 320i remains purely petrol powered , not even getting any form of mild hybrid assistance.
A quick overview of the 320i’s specs are as such:

In terms of safety, the 320i now gets Active Cruise Control (ACC) with Stop & Go as it is now a standard feature for the 3 Series. It gets both the “Driving Assistant” and “Parking Assistant” equipped.

- Lane Departure and Lane Change Warning
- Front Collision Warning
- Rear Crossing Traffic Warning

With the new “base” 3 Series replacing the “320i M Sport”, the sought-after compact executive has become more accessible.
