MG S5 EV prices revised in Malaysia – now from RM 108k, up to RM 8k less
Pricing for the MG S5 EV has been revised in Malaysia, a few months after the electric SUV first went on sale in May. Following similar downward adjustments to the MG4 EV earlier this month, the S5 is now RM 8,000 cheaper across all variants.
MG S5 Price in Malaysia
Effective immediately, the new retail prices are:
- MG S5 EV Com – RM 107,900
- MG S5 EV Com Long Range – RM 117,900
- MG S5 EV Lux Long Range – RM 127,900
With on-the-road costs (excluding insurance), the figures translate to RM 108,548, RM 118,548, and RM 128,548 respectively.
To recap, all variants are powered by a rear-mounted electric motor delivering 170 PS and 250 Nm, paired to lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries. Performance figures are as follows:
- Com: 49 kWh battery, 340 km range (WLTP)
- Com Long Range: 62 kWh battery, 430 km range
- Lux Long Range: 62 kWh battery, 425 km range
Charging rates remain unchanged at 7 kW AC, 120–150 kW DC, with 10–80% recharge achievable in 26 minutes on the higher-powered variants. All models also feature Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) cap
