iCAUR V23 previewed in Malaysia – EV with up to 430km range, from est. RM145k
Following the launch of the iCAUR 03, the iCAUR brand is now previewing its second model for the Malaysian market, the iCAUR V23. Not yet launched, the estimated price for the iCAUR V23 is RM145,000 for the 2WD variant and RM155,000 for the iWD variant. The car will be showcased at the Starhill Piazza, Kuala Lumpur, until November 2, 2025.
Earlier previewed in its left-hand drive (LHD) guise at the 2025 Malaysia Autoshow, we now know that there are 2 variants for this funky-looking EV. The first variant is the 2WD version with an estimated price of RM145,000. It features a single rear-axle motor that puts out 136 PS and 180 NM (Honestly not very high figures for a chunky car). This variant gets a 59.9 kWh battery that provides a range of 401 km (CLTC).
For more range and more power, there’s the iWD (Intelligent Wheel Drive) variant that has 501 km of range (CLTC) from an 81.8 kWh battery. It also gets a dual-motor setup that puts out 211 PS and 292 Nm.
DC Charging the iCAUR V23 can be done at a maximum rate of 104 kW for the iWD variant and 85 kW for the 2WD variant. AC charging on the other hand, is standard at maximum rate of 6.6 kW with a single-phase supply. The car is also equipped with a vehicle-to-load (V2L) function that can be done at a maximum rate of 3.3 kW.
Despite looking like a modernised version of the old Land Cruiser 40 and 50 series (with a hint of the G-Wagon), the iCAUR V23 is built on a unibody/monocoque chassis. It also gets a MacPherson strut suspension setup at the front and a multilink setup at the rear.
The iCAUR V23’s estimated price is higher than that of the iCAUR 03, despite having a smaller footprint. It does, however, seem to offer a greater degree of customisation.
