BMW iX1 eDrive20L M Sport debuts in Malaysia – est, price RM 255k, extended wheelbase

BMW Group Malaysia debuts the all-new BMW iX1 eDrive20L M Sport, a long-wheelbase variant of BMW’s compact electric Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV), with an estimated price of RM 225,000. The all-new BMW iX1 eDrive20L M Sport enhances interior spaciousness by extending the wheelbase by 110mm, increasing the overall length by 116 mm. At the front, the enclosed grille design has lines and surfaces that extend outwards in the shape of an X.

The biggest addition is the panoramic sky roof, no central bar, but a powered opaque sunshade. Luggage capacity is measured at 490 litres; folding the rear seats expands it to 1,600 litres.

BMW Group Malaysia said, “The fifth-generation BMW eDrive technology includes charging hardware and high-voltage battery cells mounted flat in the floorpan – the 66.5 kWh (gross) battery delivers up to 433 km of range (WLTP). Charging via 11kW AC allows for 0–100% in 6 hours and 45 minutes, while the DC Charging speed of up to 130 kW allows for 10–80% in 32 minutes – 120 km of range can be added in just 10 minutes.”
