From RM 90k, 2025 Proton X50 facelift launched in Malaysia – 3 variants, 4‑cyl 1.5T, 181 PS/290 Nm

The 2025 Proton X50 facelift has been launched in Malaysia. As mentioned during the first reveal, the lineup has been revised to three variants, with prices starting from:

  • 1.5TD Executive – RM 89,800
  • 1.5TD Premium – RM 101,800
  • 1.5TD Flagship – RM 113,300

All prices are on-the-road without insurance. For reference, the previous X50 was priced from RM 86,300 for the Standard variant, and RM 93,300 for the Executive variant. Meanwhile, prices for the Premium and Flagship variants are unchanged.

2025 Proton X50 Performance

All variants now use the 1.5 litre DOHC i-GT turbocharged and direct-injected four-cylinder engine, producing 181 PS at 5,500 rpm and 290 Nm of torque from 2,000 to 3,500 rpm. Paired with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission, power goes to the front wheels. There are four drive modes (Eco, Comfort, Sport, Adaptive).

 

Suspension remains unchanged with MacPherson struts at the front and a torsion beam at the rear. Proton claims 0–100 km/h in 7.6 seconds.

  • Qi wireless charger (driver’s side only)

Safety

  • Park assist

Colours offered include Snow White, Passion Red, Jet Grey, Armour Silver and the new Teal Bayou Green (replacing Ocean Blue). The Flagship variant gets a black contrast roof and black door mirrors on selected colours.
